The 'Hide on Jeckell' Guesthouse is a small Yukon hostel in downtown Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Canada. While larger hostels can sometimes be a little impersonal, staying in this Yukon hostel is like visiting friends. During your stay in our hostel you can prepare your own food in the kitchen, browse through hundreds of books in the living room, or simply enjoy a cup of coffee while spending time with your fellow travelers outside on the porch or in the garden. After a long day of outdoor activities you can relax in our outdoor jacuzzi. It is available to our guests, for a small fee, all year round - so visit us during the winter months and see the northern lights while soaking in the hot water. We have 6 hostel rooms: two private rooms for couples (or families), two gender specific dorm rooms (not more than 5 people per room), and 2 mixed dorms (4 beds each). Enjoy 24 hours of hot water in the 4 hostel bathrooms and experience a good night sleep on the chiro-elite mattresses (in non-squeaky wooden bunks). We provide linen free of charge.
We offer free use of our hostel bicycles for trips in the vicinity or simply to go shopping (summer only). E-mail? No problem! Our guests can enjoy the luxury of free, 24 hour, high-speed Internet, additional LAN hubs, and wireless 802.11 (b and g). Been reading one book a zillion times? Leave it in our hostel library and take another one - among hundreds of books, sure there is one for you, too. Trouble getting started in the morning? Our strong, aromatic coffee has woken up everyone so far. It's fair trade, organic and freshly roasted in Whitehorse, Yukon. Feel free to enjoy barbeque on the porch or one of our many games from the legendary
board game collection.
